Manjusha,
This is out of curiosity, how are you getting the notes. Are you trying to match the original song by randomly striking the keys or you getting them from elsewhere? I guess its time to dust off my key board again.. nice song.
Surya
@ Surya,
"Are you trying to match the original song by randomly striking the keys"
YES! For catching the first note (the note the song starts with), I test all the keys [C-B, C#-A#]. Once I get that, I try to play the rest of the song based on my little music skills coupled with intution.. :) Once you can humm the song correct, you'd know where to hit the high & low notes, and thus writing the notation becomes easier!
Hi Manujusha,
I had earlier requested you to post the midi files for the songs u play. I think I was not clear ... what I wanted was something like u have in the first song 'Jadu teri nazar', where it says 'Click & Save to download MIDI'.
Also, I have a yamaha keyboard too and I wanted to know how do u save the voices when u have to switch to multiple voices in 1 song ?
Thanks.
i never knew i could play this tune, u rock ,thanks a ton
@ Priya,
I stopped transferring songs in MIDI format from keyboard to PC ever since I started playing the chords. Reason: "accompaniment" vanishes in MIDI.
To record the song, I followed the Yamaha manual. There's this song memory thing where you can record upto 5 songs. Look up on your manual. Recording different voices isn't hard. For my particular keyboard model, all I do is: Go into the recording mode and start playing the song. Changing the voice, style-tempo, even the style (haven't tried) can be done while recording.
Once I record it on the keyboard, I transfer it to the PC using line-in and capture the incoming audio stream in Audacity. Then ctrl-X the pauses and save as MP3.
Hope the info above helps. Let me know if you need anything else.
@ Manoj,
This is a pretty simple tune, yet so melodious. Good to know that you can play it now.
Will try this on my keyboard :)
